27 of March marked the emotional and intellectual conclusion of the 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔: "𝐔𝐤𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐗𝐗-𝐗𝐗𝐈 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐲." It was a week that transformed academic discourse into a profound exploration of the Ukrainian soul, identity, and our collective path toward the future.

The fourth day of the 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔: "𝐔𝐤𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐗𝐗-𝐗𝐗𝐈 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐲" served as an intellectual bridge between the historical roots of the Bavarian capital and the modern trajectories of the Ukrainian diaspora.

The third day of the 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 was a profound journey through the "geography of the soul," exploring how the Ukrainian identity has been preserved, challenged, and reshaped through literature and film.

Day 2 was a profound deep-dive into the "Global Soul" of the Ukrainian diaspora. Today, the 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 moved from theoretical frameworks to the living, breathing life trajectories of those who carried Ukraine in their hearts across continents.

​23 of March marks a historic milestone as the Ukrainische Freie Universität - Український Вільний Університет, in collaboration with prestigious German academic partners, officially opened the 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔: "𝐔𝐤𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐗𝐗-𝐗𝐗𝐈 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐲."

Over the next week, our Winter School 2026 will explore Ukrainian migration in Europe and globally across the 20th and 21st centuries, addressing its many dimensions.

Die zweibändige Sammlung von Werken des amerikanischen Historikers und Ukrainisten Mark von Hagen zu seinem Gedenken enthält ausgewählte Aufsätze, die im Laufe von 30 Jahren (1988–2018) entstanden sind, sowie ein Manuskript, von dem ein Teil posthum veröffentlicht wurde (2020).

Die Übersetzung von Irena Katschaniuk-Spiech eröffnet dem deutschsprachigen Publikum die psychologische Tiefe und sprachliche Feinheit von Lesja Ukrajinkas

Anlässlich des 212.Geburtstages von Taras Schewtschenko wurde in der Bibliothek der Ukrainische Freie Universität eine thematische Ausstellung aus den Beständen der Bibliothek vorbereitet, die dem literarischen Erbe von Taras Schewtschenko gewidmet ist.

Es war uns eine besondere Ehre, am 9.03 einen der profiliertesten Unterstützer der Ukraine in Deutschland an der Ukrainischen Freien Universität begrüßen zu dürfen: Roderich Kiesewetter, Mitglied des Deutschen Bundestages.

Am 9. März fand in Kooperation der UFU und des Osteuropaforums Bonn die Veranstaltung zum Thema: „𝐃𝐞𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐖𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐚 – 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐚𝐬 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐭“.

Am 2. März 2026 wurde im Hauptgebäude der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München eine tiefgreifende Ausstellung eröffnet, die ein dunkles Kapitel der europäischen Geschichte beleuchtet: Der Holodomor 1932/33 in der Ukraine.
